Angela is a native of Union County with ancestors dating back to the early 1800s. Angela’s family was responsible for building The Morgan Mill from which Morgan Mill Road derived its name.

Her travel and hospitality career started with American Express, where she spent 17 yrs in corporate travel management. She lived in Nashville, TN and later in Vail, CO as the Event Manager for The Arrabelle Resort.

In 2010, she moved back to NC as Senior Event Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Charlotte. She now lives in her childhood home in Union County and owns and operates Morgan Academy Homestead, an event venue, located on her family farm. It is named after
an1880s two-room schoolhouse her great grandfather helped to establish at the same site.

Angela's passions include family history, traveling, skiing, working with senior citizens (she is a caretaker as well) and loving animals – having five of her own.
