Our Judges

Our Spring Gala Event, Dancin' in the Clover, is the 4-H Foundation's Signature Event.  Each year a select group of notable Union County residents participate in a friendly ballroom dance competition. This year the event will have local "celebrities": Roger & Amy Stanton, Melinda Plue, Mike Lutes, Patrick & Angel Tyson, Taura Napier & Matt DeForrest, Shannon King, Jonathan Thomas, Penny Hefner, Bonita Simpson and Olivia Coleman & Garrett Henry.  Each celebrity is paired with a professional dance instructor from the area who provides 10 weeks of instruction to help their team try to swing, cha-cha, rhumba and waltz their way to the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy! This years contestants will be assisted by professional instructors Terri Beeson, Bryan Chandler, Zenaida Chandler, Jason Manus & Sebastian Wrenn.

​"Celebrity" judges this year included Rep. Dean Arp, Sheriff Eddie Cathey and Barbara Faulk of the Union County Community Arts Council. We are excited to have Representative Craig Horn emcee the event. 

In addition to the competition, the event hosts a silent auction and provides musical entertainment by The Entertainers.  Our financial goal this year is $50,000.  The funds raised at this event become scholarships for summer camps, leadership building conferences, state conferences, 4-H Congress and other opportunities for 4-H members and other youth in Union County who need financial assistance.
